After reading Facebook Msg..Mom turns Sons Into Police
Social networking giant Facebook played a role in catching the teenage killers of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale.
The mother of Justin and Dante Robinson alerted police after she read a message about Autumn on one son’s Facebook page. It isn’t clear what the message said.
Another Facebook message — this one from Autumn’s older brother, A.J. read: ‘I know u wont see this but I’m just letting u know that I am coming for u next time I see ur face or ur brother donte. I’m kicking ur asses.’
Police say Dante, 17, (left) and Justin, 15, (right) lured Autumn to their New Jersey home on Saturday under the pretense that they were trading BMX bike parts, Philly.com reports.
An autopsy revealed Autumn was beaten and strangled. She died from blunt force trauma to the head. There was no evidence of sexual assault.
Autumn’s body was recovered Monday in a blue recycling bin that was set out on the curb and scheduled for trash pick up on Tuesday.
Police obtained a warrant and searched the home of Dante and Justin. Police found Autumn’s BMX bike parts and the white BMX bike she was last seen riding around 12:30 p.m.
News of Autumn’s tragic death shook the residents of Clayton, New Jersey, who formed massive search parties and held candlelight vigils for the slain youngster when she was reported missing.
The two boys have been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, disposing of a body, tampering with evidence and theft. They are being held without bond in a juvenile detention facility.
