FUTURE is pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture company with Epic Records for his label, FREEBANDZ ENTERTAINMENT. With Future’s Pluto and Pluto 3D being the first releases from Freebandz; the union of Freebandz/Epic is sure to create great new music for years to come.

As a precursor, FUTURE will release the mixtape FUTURE PRESENTS FBG: THE MOVIEon 1-13-13 that will introduce the world to his new stable of artists. The artwork for the mixtape represents the subject matter discussed on the mixtape. The mask symbolizes the foes FBG has surpassed as they make their way to the top. The spiked Louboutin shoe represents FBG’s defense and strength developed along the way while the Louis Vuitton luggage with cash pouring out depicts where Future’s efforts have allowed him to soar enabling him to provide for his family and loved ones.
As a much-sought-after songwriter, FUTUREsays everyone from Shakespeare to Too Short influences him. This diversity proves true as Future hones his skills as a wordsmith helping to create hit songs for everyone from Ludacris, to Pusha T, to greatly reviewed “Loveeeeee Song,”off of Rihanna’s Unapologetic which was co-written by and features Future. You can also catch Future on the hook and on verses of DJ Khaled’s “Bitches& Bottles” alongside T.I. and Lil Wayne.
Having primed the well for his major label debut with a steady string of guest appearances and mixtapes, Atlanta’s FUTURE dropped Pluto in April of this year. So far, four of its singles have cracked the Top Ten on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart: “Tony Montana,” “Magic,” “Same Damn Time,” and “Turn On the Lights,” with his current single, “Neva End,” featuring Kelly Rowland, showing steady growth at radio.
The popularity of the videos for FUTURE’s songs may be even more telling than his chart successes. “Same Damn Time”over five million views, “Tony Montana” has been viewed over five million views, “Magic” over six million views, and “Turn On the Lights,” over fifteen million views. Future’s video appeal was confirmed with his guest appearance on YC’s “Racks” in 2011, which has since racked up close to over 25 million views.
The New York Times critic Jon Caramanica described FUTURE in September as “perhaps the least typical rapper to ever emerge from Atlanta’s strip clubs. He not only raps but sings, and often manipulates his voice digitally on songs, giving him a spooky, post-human presence. His mixtapes have been a striking blend of grimy street realism and outer-space-focused fabulism. It’s a blend suggestive of some of the extravagantly strange music made in Atlanta in the 1990s, including the debut albums by Outkast and Goodie Mob, which were produced by Organized Noize. (Rico Wade, one of Organized Noize’s anchors, is Future’s cousin and mentor.)”
