Lights’ Out Entertainment was founded by Scott Lemar, Daxx Washington and Charles Davis in 2001. Born in what most consider the “Golden Era of Hip-Hop” they understood and remembered what Hip-Hop is. The hard beats and real (thought inspiring) lyrics that oblige them to be lifelong fans and blend it with the more popular forms of the art that is heard today.
Though being in business for only a short time Lights’ Out Entertainment has been through it’s share of ups & downs, with personnel changes, money issues, it has been like an endless journey. Through it all the standard & the drive has not become lax. Nor has anything else stopped the company from taking steps into Hip-Hop’s future, without forgetting Hip-Hop’s past. Quote “ Without our past, We have no Future”!
Lights’ Out Entertainment artists have been a part of shows, features on mix-tapes as well as albums , open mic’s etc. Lights’ Out Entertainment has also thrown shows (All on the Table 1 & 2) and an open mic (Freak Da Mic Thursday). They have been featured many times on the well known underground television program “Urban Xpressions” performing & Hosting events.
Lights’ Out Entertainment’s current roster includes:
Sco’cha (Rapper) , Knowledge (Rapper) , G. Stories (Poet) & M.A.S (Rapper). Each of these artists have released solo mix-tapes, and have radio ready singles just waiting to be released. Through all the mix-tapes, singles, albums, shows etc. we will grow. And as we grow so will our music, our drive, our hunger. But we will never forget our past. Soon the whole world will hold up the L.O!
