Ascap to Honor Tiny at 4th Annual Women behind Mthe usic



The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers known as ASCAP are set to honor Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottles during its 4th Annual ASCAP Presents: Women Behind the Music series.



As a former member of 90′s girl group, Xscape, Tiny sang lead on many hits. During this time she also used her song-writing skills. She wrote hits such as, “No Scrubs” by TLC. The song was co-written with Xscape group member, Kandi Burruss. Tiny has also worked with husband, T.I., Bow Wow, Lil’ Kim and her daughter’s group, the OMG Girlz.


Previous ASCAP songwriter honorees include Janelle Monáe, Siedah Garrett, Monica, Kelly Rowland, Melanie Fiona, Sheila E., Kandi Burruss, Goapele, and R&B girl group Electrik Red. The event will take place at Atlanta’s Vanquish nightclub on October 18th
