Ja Rule announces he will be released from prison after being locked up since June 2011.
After being locked up since 2011 on charges of possessing an automatic weapon in 2007, Ja Rule is now looking at being released in the first part of 2013. The former Murder Inc artist was pulled over in 2007 in New York after leaving a concert, and upon inspecting his car police discovered a loaded semi automatic gun, and a few years later he was sent to prison.
Having been locked up since June 07, 2011, Ja Rule has announced on his website, that he will leaving the correctional facility on February 21, 2013 (via HHDX).
No announcement has been made on plans to record music, but look for Ja to make up for lost time and start putting out new music in the not too distant future.
